I am being billed an odd amount

The partial billing you have received is because we are adjusting all the accounts so that the Domain name will expire at the same time as the hosting account. The bill you just received should be about 6 months prior to your normal renewal date.

The previous host’s method of providing free trial services was inefficient and should have been a prorated amount, not a full amount delayed 6 months. This creates an accounting and ownership discrepancy. We are in the process of correcting the error.

If you are currently being charged for the Domain Name Registration this will keep your domain name reserved for you to use and the hosting portion of the bill will be prorated at its next cycle.

Your next payment for hosting will be a prorated amount for 6 months. Following that your hosting and domain name accounts will be synchronized.

Without making this adjustment, we would be purchasing your domain name out of pocket and would technically own the name instead of you owing the name. This is not a standard practice in the industry.

Regular hosting payments will resume and they will coincide with your domain name expiration. All your current annual services will renew at the same time.

We apologize for the confusion and welcome your patience while we get everyone on a fair and appropriate billing schedule.
